My friend Kathleen would have some tips as she has two lovely sons.
My other friend Anne-Marie could also say something as she has three sons.
Our main concern is raising kids without the father figure but I’m quite sure we will be able to do it with love, attention, care and dialogue.
Of course we will ask our brothers and brothers-in-law’s advices about some specific and technical issues! But I guess this is not a big deal as they will have examples at school, on TV (we will certainly need to choose better programs than soap operas…) and in the closer family.
It is with no doubt a challenge to have a family that doesn’t reproduce social standards but I’m convinced it is completely possible when one has family values and good educational and emotional basis.
Will it be easy? In all circumstances raising kids (and teenagers!) is not an easy thing. It will never be. I guess all our friends and relatives agree. All will also say: it is worthy anyway. :-)
Marilia, this is wonderful news!!!!
ResponderExcluirDon't worry, boys are easy to figure out. Give them space & opportunity to burn off their energy, lots of cuddles, make them believe that your kisses have the magic power to heal, and watch out when changing diapers- you never know which way the pee will shoot!
You were so great with our boys when you stayed with us, I know you will be terrific with your own. Blessings to you and your little family! We're very happy for the three of you!
Kathleen
Thanks a lot, Kathleen. Your boys are lovely, you guys do a great job with them. We will do our best down here! Maybe you come visit us in the future! Marilia
Beijos, KK
PS: eu gosto muito de Pedro...
Adoro trabalho! :-)
ResponderExcluirAnd I would add: with friends like you, life gets easier!
bjos!
